The Palmaz family is applying for a conditional use permit to construct a helicopter landing pad and fuel storage area on their estate below Mt. George east of Napa city. This letter
sent to the residents in the neighborhood of the winery explains the request. Should this project be approved, the implications for the serenity of the whole of Napa County are not hard to imagine as mega-wealthy Napans begin to act on their new-found helicopter envy. We encourage you to let the Supervisors and Planning Commission know your concerns and opposition to the proposal.

According to extensive California case law, Conditional Use Permits are to enable a municipality to control certain uses which could have detrimental effects on the community or that they are in the best interest of public convenience. The Palmaz application serves no public purpose and can only have detrimental effects on the welfare of this community.
